Egemen Karakaya is an architect and architectural photographer based in Istanbul.
He was born in 1988.
He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Architecture (B.Arch-2011). After receiving his master's degree (M.Arch-2014) from Istanbul Bilgi University, Architecture Design Program, he is currently continuing his studies at Istanbul Technical University, Architecture Design Doctorate Program (PhD 2019-thesis stage).
After working in several architecture offices and lecturing at İstanbul Bilgi University, he has been practicing architecture photography and videography since 2019.
In addition to his professional work, he is interested in ancient cities. He explores ways to represent the post-apocalyptic atmosphere of vanished civilizations through photography.
